Porcelain napkin rings made from finely rolled porcelain clay. Each one decorated with a flower and glazed in a translucent clear glaze to compliment any colour of napkin. As each napkin ring is handmade they do differ in size.
Profile of Caroline Green: After years of experimenting with different clays I have chosen to work with porcelain. Not the easiest of clays to work with but it has the qualities I am looking for; smooth, white and simple. I add minimal decoration, a freehand line drawing straight into the clay, dots made from porcelain slip or the contrast of a glass bead attached with silver wire.
I use transparent glazes in subtle colours, just enough to enhance the clay but not overpower it. This is fired to 1240c in an electric kiln.
All my work is either thrown on the wheel or handbuilt. I do not use moulds so slight differences in size or shade add to the truly handmade delight.

Our exclusive designs include floral, bamboo, and paisley prints in different styles and colour combinations, which will adorn any dining table adding interest and colour to plain tablecloths.

Cloth napkins, cocktail napkins, table runners and placemats: Our napkins come in two different sizes and styles, large, heavyweight, dinner napkins perfect for use with one of our napkin rings and smaller, soft-feel cotton cocktail napkins, perfect for lunches and afternoon tea. We also sell a range of napkin rings in porcelain and brass finished with leather.
Table Linen is hand printed using wooden blocks: Skilled craftsmen carve motifs from patterns we have designed on wooden blocks in mirror-image. The wooden block is then dipped in coloured dye before being 'stamped' onto the cloth.
Though a great degree of precision is followed while printing with blocks, some irregularities in the colour or design are inevitable and are a proof of authentic handwork.
Easy to maintain: Yes, our cotton napkins, place mats and table runners have been put through a tough washing cycle before being sold, thus removing possibility of shrinkage or colour loss. We do recommend use of cool water cycle and washing them with like colours. All table linens should be ironed on the reverse side, using cotton settings. Starch can be used whilst ironing for a crisp feel.
